Bathing or swimming
Only swim on incoming tides (flow), never on outgoing tides (ebb). During the summer lifeguards and a rescue service are in operation at the seaside resorts. Please take note of their instructions: in some areas warning notices are in place, which could save your life.

Barbecues
Barbeques and fires are prohibited on the beach. If you feel like having some barbecue meat: many of the beach cafés have their own barbeque facilities.

Fast vessels ban
All fast vessels (i.e. water scooters and jet skis) are prohibited on the beach. No vessels are allowed within 300 sea metres of the beach.

Horses at the beach
Horses and riders are permitted on the beach using exits 22, 23, 25 and 26. During the swimming season, the 1st of June to the 1st of September, it is not permitted to ride horses near exit 27 between beach posts 74.000 to 75.000. Further information can be requested from the municipality of Noordwijk.
