Floral seaside resort
Noordwijk gets its name as the 'floral seaside resort of Europe' from the fact that it is situated in the midst of the bulb-growing region. Noordwijk is the only local authority in South-Holland where more than half the surface area (53% in fact) consists of natural landscape: dunes, woodlands, parks and public gardens.
