European Sand Sculptures Festival 2010

At the end of August the European Sand Sculptures Festival will take place at the Koningin Wilhelmina Boulevard in Noordwijk aan Zee for the third time.

This year the motto of the famous sand-festival will be: SPACE SCULPTURES.

On Sunday, August 22th the cavers will begin to work. Within 6 days they have to create the most beautiful sculpture which will be awarded on Friday, August 27th by a competent  jury. Visitors can see the sculptures for free until October 3rd . There are about 250.000 people expected to visit the festival.
