By car:
Journey time by car (outside rush hours): Amsterdam city centre 45 min; Utrecht city centre 60 min; Leiden city centre 15 min; The Hague city centre 30 min; Rotterdam city centre 50 min; Schiphol airport 25 min.From the North (Amsterdam, Utrecht):
- Follow the A4 in a southerly direction, past Schiphol. The A4 splits once past Nieuw Vennep. Keep to the right, and follow signs to “DEN HAAG CENTRUM A4”.
- Come off at the “VOORHOUT, NOORDWIJK, OEGSTGEEST-NOORD” exit.
- Follow the signs to “NOORDWIJK”.
- After approx. 5 minutes (after leaving the motorway) you will see traffic lights, on the edge of the built-up area of Noordwijk.
From the South (Rotterdam, The Hague):
- Once past Rotterdam and The Hague follow the A4, direction Leiden.
- Come off at the “LEIDEN, VALKENBURG, KATWIJK, NOORDWIJK” exit (N206).
- Follow the signs to “NOORDWIJK”.
- Once past Katwijk, leave the N206 at the “NOORDWIJK” exit.
- At the edge of the built-up area of Noordwijk, you will find a roundabout.
By Public Transport:
- Catch the LEIDEN train: intercities and slow trains from Amsterdam, Schiphol and The Hague all stop in Leiden. There is also a slow train running between Utrecht and Leiden. If you are coming from Rotterdam, do check if the train does indeed stop in Leiden. If not, you will need to change-over at The Hague train station. The Leiden train usually departs from the same track.
- From Leiden train station you need to jump on a number 40 or 42 bus, direction Noordwijk (departs every 30 min, with a journey time of approx. 25 min).
