Lecture series - Is the psyche logical - Noordwijk Library

Personal growth does not depend on age. Enthusiastic students give lectures to adults on various subjects in the library. In this series, student lecturer Jan Thomas talks about his field of Psychology. From the Big 5 personality traits to the psychology of emotions.

Learn about how language can influence the psychology of entire cultures and how the reward structure of lobsters actually has much more in common with ours. These lectures provide insight into both your own psyche and that of your fellow man.

The lectures will take place on January 11, 2023, January 18, 2023, January 25, 2023 and February 1, 2023. A ticket gives access to all four meetings.

About student teacher Jan Thomas

Student teacher Jan Thomas is 27 years old and studies Applied Psychology at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. He has made the choice to design a series of lectures for the Oud Geleerd Jong Done foundation because he believes that insight into psychology is something that can benefit everyone in life, regardless of age or background. Jan Thomas also has a passion for culture and language, which the lectures will also respond to within the discussed themes.
