How to get there
Noordwijk is easy to reach all year round – whether you come by car, bike, or public transport. Thanks to various parking facilities, your day out or stay starts relaxed and carefree. In the summer months, you can make use of the free Beach Shuttle, a convenient parking and shuttle service to the beach. Please note: the Beach Shuttle only operates during the summer season and is currently not active.
Noordwijk is centrally located in the Randstad and can be reached in many different ways. Choose the mode of travel that suits your visit and enjoy a relaxed journey to the coast.
Central location
Large cities such as Leiden (11 km), Amsterdam (45 km) and The Hague (29 km) are nearby. Within 30 minutes you can reach Schiphol Airport (25 km) and Rotterdam The Hague Airport (40 km). The nearby train stations Voorhout (7 km), Sassenheim (7 km) and Leiden (11 km) as well as the extensive bus network ensure excellent connections.

By bike
Would you rather come to Noordwijk by bike? A bike tour is a great way to enjoy the natural beauty of the Dutch coast and the atmosphere of the picturesque villages along the way.
From Amsterdam: Leaving Amsterdam, ride through the beautiful Amsterdamse Bos (forrest) and then cycle southwest through the dunes and forests in the Zandvoort area.
From The Hague: Leave The Hague and follow the coast north. You cycle through Scheveningen and Wassenaar before reaching Noordwijk. Enjoy the ocean views as you cruise along the coast.
From Leiden: If you start from Leiden you can follow a beautiful route along the Leiden Merenwijk and the Kagerplassen. Continue your way through the polders and nature reserves near Noordwijk.

With public transport
Are you coming by train and/or bus? From Leiden Central Station you can reach Noordwijk aan Zee by bus 20 in about 30 minutes, from Sassenheim station by bus 385 in about 20 minutes and from Voorhout station by bus 385 in about 15 minutes. By car
Noordwijk is also easily accessible by car. Thanks to the various routes to the coastal city, you can easily avoid traffic jams. Once you arrive, Noordwijk offers various parking options. There are parking spaces near the promenade and beach, giving you easy access to the sea. Please note that parking is often subject to charges 7 days per week. In the blue zones you can use the blue parking disc. Signs indicate parking times in the blue zones. You can also buy a day ticket at some parking lots. You can park for free in many places in Noordwijkerhout and De Zilk. You can park for free for the first two hours in the Victoriberg and Coremolen car parks in Noordwijkerhout.
