Movie uit 2023, die wereldwijd meer dan 1,3 miljard dollar heeft opgebracht. Zowel de film uit 2023 als The Super Mario Galaxy Movie zijn geproduceerd door Chris Meledandri van Illumination en Shigeru Miyamoto van Nintendo. De film wordt gefinancierd door Universal Pictures en Nintendo samen en wordt wereldwijd uitgebracht door Universal Pictures. Voor The Super Mario Galaxy Movie keren filmmakers Aaron Horvath en Michael Jelenic terug als regisseurs en het scenario is ook dit keer geschreven door Matthew Fogel. Componist Brian Tyler is weer verantwoordelijk voor de muziek.
