Terms and Conditions – Noordwijk Walking Challenge 2026

These terms and conditions apply to the Noordwijk Walking Challenge 2026, organised by Stichting Destinatie Noordwijk en Noordwijkerhout, trading as Noordwijk Marketing, with its registered office at Hoofdstraat 129, 2202 EX Noordwijk.

General

1. The Noordwijk Walking Challenge 2026 will take place from 1 to 30 September 2026 inclusive.
2. The aim of the Walking Challenge is to introduce participants to the nature, villages, history, art and stories of the municipality of Noordwijk in an active way.
3. Participation in the Walking Challenge is free of charge.
4. By entering the prize draw, the participant confirms that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
5. Noordwijk Marketing reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions during the promotion if circumstances make this necessary.

Participation in the Walking Challenge

6. To complete the Walking Challenge, the participant must walk the following five routes between 1 and 30 September 2026:

• Heilzaam Noordwijk Route
• Historic Walk Noordwijk Binnen
• Piet Floris Route – Hollands Duin
• Rondje Noordwijkerhout
• Max Liebermann Route

7. Participants may decide for themselves when to walk the routes, in which order and from which point to start.
8. Each route has its own Walking Challenge sticker. For every completed route, the participant collects the corresponding sticker and places it on the Walking Challenge card.
9. To complete the Walking Challenge, the card must contain all five stickers and/or valid replacement words.
10. The fully completed Walking Challenge card must be handed in by 5 October 2026 at the latest at:

VVV Noordwijk
Hoofdstraat 129, Noordwijk

or

VVV Noordwijkerhout
Havenstraat 10, Noordwijkerhout.

11. Noordwijk Marketing reserves the right not to accept incomplete, illegible or incorrectly completed cards as valid entries.

Walking Challenge pin

12. A participant who has completed all five routes and hands in a valid, fully completed Walking Challenge card will receive one unique Walking Challenge pin as a memento of their achievement.
13. The pin is a reward for completing the Walking Challenge and is separate from the prize draw.

Participation in the prize draw

14. A participant with a valid and fully completed Walking Challenge card may also enter the prize draw.
15. To enter the prize draw, all requested contact details must be provided fully and correctly.
16. The person whose details are submitted for the prize draw must be aged 18 or over. Minors may complete the Walking Challenge and receive a pin, but to enter the prize draw, the details of a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over must be provided.
17. Each person may enter the prize draw no more than once.
18. Temporary and permanent employees of Noordwijk Marketing and persons directly involved in organising or carrying out the promotion are excluded from participation in the prize draw.

Prizes and prize draw

19. After the Walking Challenge has ended, prizes will be drawn among all valid entries. The prizes can be found on the Noordwijk Walking Challenge Prizes page.
20. The final selection of prizes will be published at www.noordwijk.info/walkingchallenge.
21. The winners will be selected impartially by means of a prize draw after the promotion has ended.
22. Winners will be contacted personally using the contact details provided when entering.
23. After receiving notification, a winner has 7 days to respond and accept the prize. If no response is received within this period, Noordwijk Marketing reserves the right to select another winner.
24. Prizes are personal, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or for another prize.
25. Additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant partner may apply to prizes provided by a partner, for example regarding availability, reservations or validity periods.
26. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the prize draw.
27. If a prize is no longer available due to circumstances beyond the control of Noordwijk Marketing, Noordwijk Marketing reserves the right to offer a comparable replacement prize.

Personal data and newsletter

28. Personal data provided for participation in the prize draw will be used solely for organising and administering the Walking Challenge and the prize draw, unless the participant separately consents to another use.
29. The processing of personal data is subject to Noordwijk Marketing's Privacy Statement, as published at www.noordwijk.info/privacyverklaring.
30. Subscription to the monthly newsletter is completely separate from participation in the Walking Challenge and the prize draw. Participants may provide separate consent for this by ticking the relevant box.
31. Choosing not to consent to receiving the newsletter will have no effect whatsoever on participation in the Walking Challenge or the chance of winning a prize.

Liability

32. Participation in the Walking Challenge is at the participant's own responsibility. Participants are responsible for their own safety while walking and must take account of weather conditions, traffic, terrain, temporary closures and any instructions given on site.
33. Noordwijk Marketing shall not be liable for any damage, loss, injury or costs arising from participation in the Walking Challenge, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of Noordwijk Marketing.
34. Noordwijk Marketing shall not be liable for changes to routes, temporary closures, changes to the opening hours of sticker locations or other circumstances over which it has no direct control.
35. Noordwijk Marketing shall not be liable for damage related to the awarding, receipt or use of a prize, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of Noordwijk Marketing.

Force majeure and changes

36. Noordwijk Marketing reserves the right to amend the Walking Challenge in whole or in part, temporarily suspend it or terminate it early in the event of force majeure or other circumstances that make it impossible to conduct the promotion properly or safely.
37. If a prize cannot be provided due to force majeure or circumstances affecting a participating partner, Noordwijk Marketing may offer a suitable alternative.

Complaints and applicable law

38. Questions or complaints relating to the Walking Challenge can be sent to Noordwijk Marketing at info@noordwijk.info.
39. The Walking Challenge and these terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law.
40. In situations not covered by these terms and conditions, Noordwijk Marketing will decide.
